Payroll Specialist

Applicants should be able to manage and process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities/Tasks:

  • Process monthly payrolls for UK and EU countries

  • Generating and processing Bacs Payments

  • Submit governmental Returns

  • Prepare Monthly Payroll related payments for example Tax Authorities, Pension, etc. in a timely and efficient manner

  • Process New Starts and Leavers

  • Calculate Holiday and Sickness payments

  • Resolve payroll queries in a timely & efficient manner

  • Import Payroll Journals to Sage

  • Process end of year returns and P60s

  • Excellent knowledge of PAYE and NIC, to deal with payroll legislation changes

  • Maintain all payroll records

  • Assist external Accountants processing of Shadow payrolls

  • Ad hoc payroll related activities as required

Qualifications/Experience:

Essential attributes/Skills/Qualifications:

  • Part Qualified accounting qualification, or equivalent experience in industry

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and legislation.

  • Experience with payroll systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
